I really like the built-in look. You did a great job. I bet they also sound really good. I enjoy seeing pictures of other peoples systems. Reed

Hmm....... guess I should have previewed it. Seems copying the shortcut by right clicking on the thumb won't work here, so at least from this site you have to click on properties, copy the link and delete the thumb id in the link string.
BTW, this is a 'make do' system and is in no way optimized for HI-FI. It's my 35 yr old sub cabs with near stock 511s [bells are constrained layer damped] just perched on top and don't become a coherent point source till ~46ft away due to the wide driver spacing.
Since they were designed for a 40-80Hz XO, stiffness/damping was the prime goal in their design. Construction is a bit 'over the top' since I didn't have any experience at the time WRT controlling <40Hz frequencies beyond those required for use in seismic zones, so they're a well braced 2 x 4 frame skinned with 3/4" marine grade ply [no-void back then] with 4 x 4's being used for the two baffle's mounting flanges. Since they weigh a calc'd ~350lbs with drivers, casters/skid runners/grab bar are on the rear so they can be moved around or up/down stairs. One wall, back, top, and cross braces are covered with R-19 fiberglass insulation. with some vent damping and digital EQ they're ~flat in-room to 16Hz.

Magnificent craftsmanship as usual, Bill! Thanks for sharing!
Lee, I don't remember what I told you, but you have to click on the image link below the message window and a small window pops up where you can add a hyperlink. If you don't have the pic already uploaded to a site, then you can't post it.
I just uploaded this to the new FR site to see if there would be any problems, but why not start your own system's pictorial library at a more appropriate site, such as the HE forum?

Since you guys have made nice comments, there are more pictures of the 815As and some 816 clones at:
http://www.wmeckle.com/BOYD/Boyd.html
There is no link to the above site, so you'll have to use this one or bookmark it.
I hope to post the ongoing mods & upgrades if there is any interest.
Thanks again gang.
